Financial counselling is available at ChelCSS, and is provided by workers from Financial Counselling Victoria (FCV). FCV Inc is a free and confidential community based financial counselling service in the southern region of Melbourne. It 's primary purpose is to assist consumers who are experiencing debt crisis.

How can financial counselling help me?

FCV can provide you with information and advocacy on a range of debt and credit related topics, including:

  • Renegotiation of Debt
  • Debt Recovery Procedures
  • Sexually Transmitted Debt (STD)
  • Finance Contracts
  • Guarantor Issues
  • Bankruptcy and its Implications
  • Insurance and Superannuation
  • Budgetting

Who can use FCV?

The FCV service is available to residents of the Municipalities of Bayside, Glen Eira, Kingston and part of Stonnington (Malvern East).

What are the eligibility requirements?

Eligibility requires that customers are on a low income and have a Health Care Card.

How do I make an Appointment?

To make an appointment with FCV at Chelsea Community Support Services, please call the FCV office on 9585 1955. As FCV is a very busy service, ensure you have a mobile or land line in case you need to leave a call back message.
